Egyptian Cat Goddess Brooch

SKU 17291

Known as Bastet she was originally a fierce lioness warrior goddess of the sun worshiped throughout most of ancient Egyptian history, but later she was changed into the cat goddess that is familiar today. Later depicted as the daughter and consort of Atum-Ra, with whom she had a son, the lion god Maahes.

A brooch that may become a classic in our own lifetimes. A knowing smile and a sleek, lean and muscular body she sits like a feline Goddess should. Made from matte black acrylic which when closely inspected shows a very fine fleck of glitter to it and an airbrushed inlay of ancient gold neck piece and sultry Egyptian eyes in fine golden detail.

Finished with a genuine Mahogany wood backing. Using a high quality stainless steel 33mm brooch pin to finish the piece off.
