‘Hjarta’ means ‘from the heart’ and is evocative of the heady combination of the plants – rhubarb and wild rose, which are most prolific in the Shetland Isles. The deep floral tones are reminiscent of a long summer evening when, this far north, the sun merely dips from sight.

Shetland Soap Company work alongside people with a learning disability or autism to produce a range of exclusive handmade soap and skincare products inspired by the beautiful Shetland islands. The team are truly exceptional.
 
Each bottle of liquid soap is hand mixed, hand poured and hand labelled. Each bar of cold pressed soap is hand mixed, hand cut, hand trimmed and hand wrapped.
 
All the products are handmade in a small production area in Lerwick, a stone’s throw away from the sea.
